Lightweight Fabrics

The weather is finally starting to warm up in Prague (which for Prague means we can shed the winter coats and put on a jacket instead... boo) but it has me thinking thoughts of lightweight fabrics and beautiful sandals.  I found the sandals featured below on Payless's website (they are beautiful, no?, especially with a $23 price tag!!!) and found myself drooling over them.  They are interesting, but still a simple neutral that can be paired with a ton of items (shorts, dresses, etc).  Just one thing to keep in mind - be careful if you have shorter legs because these shoes will hit you at the ankle and could end up making shorter legged women look stumpy. The rest of the outfit has a lot of airy pieces as well as light, relaxed colors that all come together looking effortless, soft, and pretty.  The pink sweater is a lightweight cover over the white flowy tank for cooler days.  The simple earrings and floral bangle add some shimmer to the otherwise flat outfit, and the brown Aldo bag helps blend with the dark shoe.  The greenish 9" chino from J Crew is also a neutral that can be worn again and again in the Summer months.  The length is nice for anyone who doesn't feel comfortable with a "short short" style - it will hit the leg similarly to a Bermuda short... every morning when I hop in the shower and start to see green veins forming in my legs, I thank God for whoever invented the long short ;)
