Pleated skirts are very "in" right now, but they're more than just a trend.  Pleated skirts feel feminine and dainty, but in a dark color they can become both office and night-time appropriate.  I kept the pleated theme going by pairing the skirt with a neutral chiffon top, and then added some fun into the outfit in the form of the purple snakeskin clutch.  Keep the rest of the accessories tasteful (black suede wedges, simple stud earrings, and a single bracelet) so not to overwhelm the simple silhouette.  (Sidenote:  This is not a Thrifty Thursday post, but the entire look just so happens to be only slightly over $200... lucky you!)

  2. Thanks, Amanda! It's always good to add a little color to a more neutral outfit.. especially when it adds another style as well! In this case ... sweet and feminine outfit with a RAWR factor in the purse!

  3. I definitely want a pleated skirt. I am just trying to decide if I want knee length or maxi. Thoughts?

  4. I think you would get longer-term use out of knee length or midi-length. Maxi is very trendy right now but you probably won't get more than another year of wear out of it.
